Frank Lampard cut a grim figure on the touchline.

Frank Lampard and his struggling Blues continued to share freebies in the Premier League.

This time it was city rivals Arsenal who were the beneficiaries of Lampard’s largesse as the Gunner returned to winning ways in style on Tuesday night.

Chelsea ignores wise counsel

Before the London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea, Pulse Sports Nigeria reporter, Ifeanyi, did outline five things Lampard and his Chelsea needed to do to shock Arsenal.

Since he was appointed on an interim basis to replace Graham Potter at Stamford Bridge, things have gone from bad to worse for the Blues.

Frank Lampard should have listened to Ifeanyi's learned counsel.

After the defeat the last time, Pulse Sports outlined tips on how the Blue side of London could claim bragging rights on Tuesday night.

However, like the proverbial stubborn fly that will be buried with the dead, that is exactly what happened to Lampard and his out-of-sort Blues at the Emirates.

Madueke nets first Chelsea goal

British-born Nigerian Noni Madueke ensured Chelsea were not totally embarrassed at the Emirates on Tuesday night.

Madueke, a summer signing from PSV Eindhoven, scored his first goal for Chelsea on the night to give the scoreline against Arsenal a bit of respect.

The 21-year-old also avoided the famous social media 007 trends when he pulled one goal back against the Gunners.

It was the first goal for his new club and only the second goal the Blues have scored in the last eight matches across competitions.

Injury concern for Arteta

While Mikel Arteta would have been happy with the performance and result against rivals Chelsea, it may have come at a cost.

Mikel Arteta will not want to lose another key defender this season.

Arsenal’s centre-back Gabriel was spotted limping late on against the Blues in what could be another major blow for the Gunners.

Arteta’s side has already lost William Saliba, who has missed the last two games in the Premier League.

With Champions League-chasing Newcastle United the next hurdle for the Gunners, Arteta will not want to be without two of his best defenders heading into that trip against the Magpies this season.
