Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has reportedly compiled a six-man transfer shortlist as the Red Devils look to sign a proven goalscorer ahead of next season.
Manchester United have struggled to score goals consistently this season. While Marcus Rashford has shouldered the burden with 29 goals, it has been a quiet season for the other attackers at the club.
Wout Weghorst, the January loan signing from Burnley has scored just 2 goals in his time at the club.
The Netherlands international's temporary deal expires at the end of the season, allowing Ten Hag to look for a replacement.
Ten Hag desperate for new striker at Manchester United
According to Mirror Football, Tottenham striker Harry Kane is at the top of Ten Hag's list with the England captain's contract at Tottenham due to expire in June 2024.
Kane remains a prolific striker and despite Spurs struggling this season, the 29-year-old has still managed 27 goals in all competitions.
While Kane is United's leading target, the report states that Ten Hag is prepared to look elsewhere and will not be held to ransom by Tottenham chief Daniel Levy.

Osimhen responds to Man Utd links after Napoli's title win
Other names on the list include the prolific Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who has scored 22 league goals to fire Napoli to the Serie A title this season. The Nigerian's move to Old Trafford could prove particularly expensive with Napoli sure to demand as much as they can for his services.
