Youngster Marc Guiu made headlines as he became the latest player to score a hat-trick under Chelsea's new manager Enzo Maresca, leading the Blues to a commanding 5-1 victory over Shamrock Rovers in the UEFA Conference League.

This win solidified Chelsea's position at the top of the league table, with an impressive 18 points from their six matches, maintaining a perfect record in the tournament.

Match Overview: Chelsea vs Shamrock

Chelsea showed their dominance throughout the match at Stamford Bridge. Guiu opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, capitalising on a defensive error from Shamrock Rovers.

However, the Irish side equalised shortly after through Markus Poom, who volleyed in from a corner kick.

Guiu quickly restored Chelsea's lead with a well-placed shot in the 34th minute, followed by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall extending the advantage before halftime. Guiu completed his hat-trick just before the break with another header, bringing his tally in the competition to six goals.

In the second half, Marc Cucurella added Chelsea's fifth goal, sealing a resounding victory that kept their unbeaten streak alive in the tournament.

This match marked Chelsea's eighth consecutive win across all competitions, equaling a club record set back in December 2016.

Guiu's Historic Achievement

At just 18 years old, Guiu not only scored his first hat-trick for Chelsea but also became the youngest player in the club's history to achieve this feat in European competition.

His performance saw him join Noni Madueke, Christopher Nkunku and star boy Cole Palmer as the players who have scored hattrick for the Blues this season.

His coach Enzo Maresca praised his performance while acknowledging that Guiu must continue developing alongside established stars like Nicolas Jackson and Nkunku.
