Nigerian international Saviour Godwin was on the losing side for Al Akhdoud against Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr
Nigerian footballer Saviour Godwin was in action for Al Akhdoud in a Saudi Pro League game against Al-Nassr on Friday night.
Al Nassr eased to a comfortable 3-0 win at home thanks to a stunning pair of goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Godwin also played the full 90 minutes but could not help his team Al Akhdoud avoid defeat.
The 27-year-old was eager to link up with Ronaldo after the game and shared pictures and a video of the encounter on his social media.

Godwin posted four pictures mostly of himself and Ronaldo and then a video of the Portuguese legend signing his jersey on his official Instagram page.
“Gutted not to come back home with a win, but also great feeling to play alongside my role model,” Saviour wrote in the caption of the aforementioned Instagram post.
Saviour joined Al Akhdoud from Portuguese club Casa Pia last summer for a €2.5 million transfer fee and his current team now sits 16th on the Saudi Arabian Pro League table with ten points.
The 27-year-old played his only game for the Super Eagles in a 2-1 defeat to Algeria in September 2022.
