Kano Pillars 2-1 Plateau United

Plateau United struck first, putting the pressure on the home side. However, Kano Pillars displayed remarkable resilience and refused to give up.

Their efforts were rewarded in the 75th minute when club icon Rabiu Ali stepped up and converted a well-placed free-kick to level the scores.

However, it was Ahmed Musa who had the final say - he delivered a precise finish in the 92nd minute to secure a dramatic 2-1 victory for Kano Pillars.

The 32-year-old forward remains a big influence in Nigeria's elite league, having scored four goals for the Sai Maguda side since returning to the club.

Musa scored a brace on his debut against Sunshine Stars, netted another against defending champions Rangers, and added one more against Plateau United.

Musa started his football career with Kano Pillars in 2009, finishing his first season as the top scorer with 18 goals before moving to VVV Venlo in the Dutch Eredivisie.
