After 1000 days, Naomi Osaka has reached a final after giving birth in 2023.

Naomi Osaka is enjoying a resurgence in form, reaching the final of the 2025 ASB Classic. This marks a big milestone for the former world number one, as it's her first final appearance since becoming a mother in July 2023.

Osaka's return to the tour following her maternity leave was met with a period of adjustment. While she showcased glimpses of her former brilliance, consistency proved elusive throughout 2024.

Reflecting on this achievement, Osaka hammered on her continuous pursuit of improvement.

"It was definitely really important. I’m happy to get through to the final. I’ve actually never gotten to the final of a tournament the week before Melbourne. This is a career first for me. I think in my head I’m really happy there are always things to improve and get better, no matter how old you are," she said.
