With Uganda still struggling to find answers to the lack of goals at the senior national team, a well-nurtured Nsereko could, for many years, come in handy as a natural solution.
Youngster Abdu Nsereko only recently penned down a three-year employment contract with Uganda Premier League defending champions Vipers SC.
That was after ending his stint with FUFA Big League outfit Police FC, where he spent the 2022/23 campaign as they finished fourth.
With the Cops, Nsereko had scored four times in seven games across all competitions, as they went all the way to the Uganda Cup final, where they coincidentally lost 1-0 to Vipers.

World Cup Qualifiers: Fahad Bayo equals David Obua's incredible scoring record
Astonishingly, Bayo's four goals have come in five World Cup qualification matches and carry a weight of seven points for Uganda.
In joining the latter, the 17-year-old was only linking up with the parent side of his school, the famous St. Mary's Secondary School, Kitende (SMASK).
It's with SMASK that Nsereko showcased his incredible goal-scoring touch, netting 11 times in 10 games at the 2023 National Schools Championship, winning the golden boot.
His goals helped SMASK retain the championship in Fortportal, winning it for a record 11th time.
As a result, the school qualified for the East African games (FEASSSA) in Rwanda, a championship they clinched as well when they beat Amus College School via penalties (4-2) after a 1-all draw in normal time.

FOOTBALL World Cup Qualifiers: Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Put disappointed with refereeing in defeat to Guinea
Uganda's head coach, Paul Put Joseph, has expressed his disappointment with Congo Brazzaville referee Nkounkou Mvoutou Jessie Oved on the decision.
Records with SMASK indicate Nsereko has so far netted 21 goals in 24 games across various schools' competitions dating back to 2022.
Nsereko is currently with the national U18 team as they gear up for the CECAFA U18 tournament slated for Kenya between November 25 and December 9.
Should he make the final cut for the tournament, it will be another chance for him to trade his talents yet again and show the world what he is all about - scoring goals.
This is the latest stage of his development in the national team set-up, after previously featuring with the U15s, as Uganda beat Kenya to the CECAFA U15 trophy in 2019.
With Uganda still struggling to find answers to the lack of goals at the senior national team, a well-nurtured Nsereko could, for many years, come in handy as a natural solution.
