The Championship was held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja and witnessed fierce competition among karate practitioners from various states.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja has won the second edition of the Japanese Ambassador Karate Championship.

The championship was held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja and witnessed fierce competition among karate practitioners from various states.

The 2nd Japanese Ambassador Karate Championship included competitions in 15 different categories, giving karate fans a forum to showcase their skills and compete at various levels.

The event not only commemorated karate, but also the devotion, talent, and sportsmanship of participants from several states.

Team FCT's outstanding performance resulted in a total of thirteen medals, with five gold, three silver, and five bronze medals.

The Federal Fire Service and Strata Base received well-deserved credit for their efforts, finishing second and third, respectively.

Strata Base secured nine medals, while the Federal Fire Service earned seven medals, displaying their dedication and commitment to karate excellence.

Nasarawa, Rivers, and Edo states followed closely, clinching the fourth, fifth, and sixth positions. Nasarawa’s achievements included one gold and two silver medals, while Rivers showcased their talent with one gold and five bronze medals.

Edo State contributed with one gold medal to their name.

Taraba, Lagos, Enugu, and Niger states proudly earned one medal each, showcasing the widespread participation and competitive spirit of karate practitioners across Nigeria.

On the other hand, Team Ondo, Oyo, Benue, Borno, Kwara, Kaduna, and Team Kogi, although they demonstrated admirable dedication, concluded the championship without securing any medals.
