The Moroccan World cup star has reportedly been charged with rape amid investigations of a reported assault on a 23-year-old lady in his home.
French prosecutors confirmed PSG wingback Achraf Hakimi is currently facing formal charges over accusations of rape.
The 24-year-old Moroccan was questioned by prosecutors in connection with accusations from a 23-year-old woman on Sunday.
Now Hakimi has officially been charged over the allegations of rape, according to a report from AFP.

According to earlier reports from the French media, the alleged attack happened when he invited a 23-year-old woman to his home in Boulogne, Paris while his wife and kids were on holiday on Sunday night, February 25.
The alleged victim went into a police station on Sunday to report that she had been raped by the PSG player.
However, she also reportedly stated that she did not wish to file a complaint against the Morocco international.
She told officers she only wanted to "make a statement of rape", but investigation had since been opened into the case, due to the seriousness of the allegations and the popularity of the footballer.

According to a report on Friday, March 3, 2023, the PSG star has been charged to court.
French prosecutors told AFP on Friday, that the former Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund defender is now officially facing charges over sexual assault allegations levelled against him.
Earlier this week, Hakimi was present at the FIFA Best awards ceremony in Paris, where he was named in the FIFPro men's world team of the year.
Hakimi’s lawyer Fanny Colin has since denied the rape accusations against the footballer, stating that the PSG star is equally cooperating with investigators on the case.
"The accusations are false. He is calm and is making himself available to the authorities.", Collins was quoted to have said as per Le Parisien.

Meanwhile, Rachel Flore Pardo, the lawyer for the alleged victim, told AFP: "My client maintains everything that she said. She made the choice to speak exclusively to prosecutors and does not want the affair to become a media issue, mainly to protect her safety."
PSG are still yet to make a statement amid the rape allegations. However, under French law, being charged is no guarantee that the case will go to trial.
Hakimi missed PSG’s latest victory in Ligue 1, with the defending champions defeating Marseille 3-0 on Sunday, the day of the reported incident.
But he is expected to return this weekend, when PSG play hosts to 13th-placed Nantes on March 4.
