Manchester United are keen on Nigeria and Atalanta star Ademola Lookman, and a deal could be completed this summer.

It is no secret that Ruben Amorim needs attacking reinforcements at Manchester United.

The Red Devils boss has watched Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund lumber around for most of the season, without producing the required results.

Their search for a forward is well-documented and Atalanta's Ademola Lookman is a name that has emerged as a serious candidate to light up Amorim's attack.

According to reports, the 27-year-old Nigerian could be on his way to Old Trafford this summer.

The report further states that Atalanta have slapped an asking price of  £50m on Lookman, largely due to the fact that his contract expires in the summer of 2026.

The Atalanta hierarchy are desperate to avoid losing their star man for nothing and will sancton a sale this summer, as long as their valuation is met.

Lookman has contributed 18 goals and 6 assists this season, numbers that put him clear of United's current forwards.

The Red Devils reportedly have a limited budget this summer, and this could represent excellent value for money, especially when Lookman's versatility and big game experience are factored in.

This should be a no-brainer for the United decision-makers, and a move that could bring smiles back to Old Trafford.
