Ademola was a half-time substitution as Sassuolo capitalised on a numerical advantage to beat 10-man Atalanta 1-0.
Sassuolo hosted the high-flying Atalanta at the Mappei Stadium and faced a difficult task in trying to pick up all three points against the free-scoring La Dea. The home side were handed an advantage as Atalanta went a man down, and they made the most of it holding onto a 1-0 win.

Atalanta suffered their first casualty of the night in the 30th minute when the referee showed Joachim Maehle a red card following a VAR review. The visiting team managed to cope with the deficit into half-time without conceding, but upon returning from the break, La Dea’s star forward Ademola Lookman was substituted.

Sassuolo would finally cash in on their advantage in the 55th minute of the game when Armand Luriente made his way through Atalanta’s defence before finishing into the bottom right corner.
Atalanta went on the offensive in the final minutes of the game for a chance at an equaliser, but the emotions got to Luis Muriel, and Atalanta were handicapped further with the referee showing red to the Colombian for dissent.
