AFC Leopards coach Tomas Trucha has provided an insight into what he thinks they need to do to end their 26-year wait for a league title.
AFC Leopards head coach Tomas Trucha has urged the club to ensure there is harmony between the playing unit and the management if they have to challenge for the league title next season.
Trucha joined Leopards in October after the sacking on club legend Tom Juma and after a turbulent start, he seems to have started getting it right.
Leopards are unbeaten in 2024, winning six games and drawing one in all competitions, a run that included five straight victories in the league.

FOOTBALL AFC Leopards coach identifies areas new striker Arthur Gitego must improve after weekend hat-trick
AFC Leopards coach Tomas Trucha has explained why he was still not satisfied with new signing Arthur Gitego despite the Rwandan striker scoring a hat-trick on Sunday.
That has seen Ingwe move to eighth on the table, raising hope among club supporters that they can have a strong end to the current campaign and challenge for the FKF Premier League crown next season.
However, Trucha feels to do that, everyone at the club has to sing the same tune while ensuring they get it right in the transfer market.
“It is not about the coach, it is about the players and also about the management so, if management, players and technical team work together then everything is possible,” Trucha told Box to Box.
The tactician has been lauded for getting his signings right in the midseason transfer window after Ingwe brought in highly-rated defender Ken Owino from Posta Ranges, last weekend’s hat-trick hero Arthur Gitego from Rwandan side Marine FC, midfielder Kelly Madada and youngster Christopher Koloti.
He has credited it to a collective effort at the club and also revealed that he is already scouting for new players to beef up his squad for next season.
“We had a small scouting team, some former players and my analysts, the TM [Team Manager], and coaches are also involved,” he added.

FOOTBALL McKinstry's assessment after Gor Mahia's FKF Cup elimination
Gor Mahia coach has revealed focus on FKF Premier League after penalty shootout defeat in FKF Cup against Kwale-based Denmak.
“I am trying to watch as many live games as possible and still looking for some players for next season. All these signings came from management and coaches so we know where we need to sign and strengthen the team so I believe we will have more signings in June and July.”
Leopards last won the league title in 1998 and successful coaches have tried without success to claim the title and it remains to be seen if Trucha will be the man to deliver the elusive crown.
The management will also need to ensure the players are motivated and avoid incidents like last week when they boycotted training over late payment of their winning bonuses.
