The right-back will undergo an MRI scan on Monday morning.
AFC Leopards coach Patrick Aussems has revealed that defender Lewis Bandi is due for a scan on his ankle after sustaining an injury earlier this week.
Bandi started in the midweek clash against Wazito FC at Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani, where the afternoon ended 1-0 in favor of Ingwe.
The 20-year-old defender has been a vital part of the Leopards, and his absence was witnessed in their loss to Mathare on Sunday.
“ Bandi damaged the lateral meniscus tear in his knee and is due for an MRI scan on Monday,” said Aussems.
The scan will be expected to determine the extent and length of his injury.
If the scan reveals the worst, Bandi will be out of action for three months though he might resume full training in the next three weeks if he recovers more quickly.
Key figures Oundo Mousa and Kayci Odhiambo joined the casualty list before the clash against the Mathare.
“ We lost Oundo Mousa due to a problem with his tooth, then Kayci, who sustained an injury at training, and then he felt something on his leg during warmup today. We have one week until the next match, and I hope our medical staff will deal with the matter.
As I said before, when we have all players available, we compete with any team, but when we miss two or three of our key players, it becomes difficult,” the Belgian gaffer added.
AFC Leopards are placed sixth on the league table after falling 1-0 to Mathare United on Sunday.
