AFC Leopards will hope to add onto Simba wa Nairobi’s misery as they search for their second victory of the campaign in the FKF Premier League

AFC Leopards will go in search of their second win of the season when they visit Nairobi City Stars in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League match at Kasarani Stadium on Saturday.

Both Leopards and City Stars head into the matches on the back of poor form with Ingwe finally ending their winless run last weekend while Simba wa Nairobi have gone four matches without victory.

It adds to the spice as both sides will feel they have a better chance of beating the other given their bad run.

Leopards continued to struggle in front of goal as they could only manage a goalless draw against Kariobangi Sharks on Wednesday while their opponents lost 2-1 to Murang’a Seal in what was their second straight defeat and third in the last four matches.

City Stars have held their own against Leopards since their promotion back to the Premier League three years ago, losing three, winning two and drawing one of their six encounters.

Nicholas Muyoti’s men will draw inspiration from last season when they suffered a slim 1-0 loss to Ingwe in the first leg before beating them 2-1 in the corresponding fixture in May to ensure their survival.

Pressure will increase on new Leopards coach Tomas Trucha if he fails to win his fourth match in charge after starting with a loss, win and a draw, since his return to the club last month.

Trucha will also have to find ways of making his players start scoring as they have only managed a paltry four goals in nine matches, two of them from the penalty spot.

His case is not helped by the fact that he will be without influential midfielder Cliff Nyakeya and captain and left-back Washington Munene who are both nursing injuries.

In other matches lined up on Saturday, struggling Nzoia Sugar will host Kariobangi Sharks while Sofapaka take on FC Talanta who have started the season brilliantly.
