Ingwe are understood to have earmarked a number of players from the Bungoma club in the current transfer window.

AFC Leopards have begun the process of raiding their Football Kenya Federation Premier League opponents, Nzoia Sugar, for their top players.

Reports are rife that the Leopards have made an official approach to the Sudi club, asking whether they can start the transfer of the said players.

The 1998 Premier League winners are interested in goalkeeper Humphrey Katasi, who is the joint winner of the 2022–23 Golden Glove Award; center-back Randy Bakari; and winger Hassan Beja, who had been linked with Bandari.

Boniface Munyendo, a defensive midfielder, is also a top target for Ingwe, but have to fend off competition from other Premier League clubs that include Kakamega Homeboyz, KCB, and Ulinzi Stars, who are also interested in the Nzoia star.

AFC Leopards are keen to bolster their squad after recent underperformance, especially in the Premier League. Given that they had been sanctioned before by FIFA for signing players, the club is expected to sign more to widen their pool and give the next coach a well-balanced outfit that can withstand the pressure expected next season.

Ingwe will be under a different head coach since Patrick Aussems did not renew his contract and left after two seasons with the Kenyan giants. Anthony 'Modo' Kimani has been tipped to make a return to the club and assume the coaching role.
