The Ghanaian football team were waylaid by their journalists, who demanded answers for the Black Stars poor performance at AFCON 2023.

Ghanaian journalists didn't have it easy with their football team after drawing their last group game against Mozambique to get knocked out of the ongoing AFCON 2023 in Cote d'Ivoire.

The Black Stars threw away a two-goal lead, allowing Mozambique to equalize in the 90th minute, conceding 2 goals in 3 minutes, thereby ending their hopes of making it to the knockout stages.

Cape Verde and Egypt booked their places in the next round as Group B came to a dramatic end.

After the match, Ghanaian journalists blocked the Black Stars team bus from leaving the stadium, which later needed the intervention of CAF security agents.

They also demanded that the head coach Chris Hughton, and other Ghanaian FA administrators should be sacked.

It all started after the players didn’t want to first go through the mixed zone before pressure from journalists forced them. In the end, they were booed, but not all players came out.
