After regional qualifiers in Kebbi and Anambra states, the top teams converged in Kaduna for the Super 4 playoffs.

Kebbi BSC emerged victorious, defeating Kebbi United BSC and Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors to secure the championship.

Interestingly, Kebbi BSC, despite being the cup holders and inaugural champions (2021), lost the final match 3-2 on penalties to Kada Stars of Kaduna.

However, their performance throughout the tournament secured them the overall title and the N600,000 winner's prize.

The final standings saw Kebbi BSC on top, followed by debutants Anambra Warriors (N400,000) and Kebbi United (N300,000) in second and third place respectively. Kada Stars finished fourth, taking home N200,000.

Beyond the team achievement, Kebbi BSC also produced the tournament's Most Valuable Player (MVP) Hassan Abdullahi.

The Nigerian beach soccer community now sets its sights on the national team, the Supersand Eagles as they gear up for the 2024 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mauritania.

The first leg will be held in Nouakchott on July 20, followed by the return leg in Nigeria a week later.
