Halima had been missing since Saturday 15th April 2023, after friendly match against Uweza Women that was played at Toi Grounds.

Two days of agony for the family of Kangemi Ladies FC player Halima Tadicha Abkula turned into unbelievable joy after she returned home on Tuesday morning.

But what still lingers in everyone's mind is where she had been all that time?

Halima went missing on Saturday, April 15, after a football match between Kangemi Ladies and Uweza Women FC that was played at Toi Grounds in Kibera.

The family thought it would not be long before she returned, and that night they could not sleep, which marked the beginning of a torturous period for the family.

On Monday, the family launched a search with her friends on social media and urged those with information to come forward as soon as possible.

However, Lady Luck smiled at the family on Tuesday when she returned home to her parents.

However, Halima's family did not share details about where she was and did not allow her to speak to the media.

"I am overwhelmed with joy. She returned home on her own. Thanks for your concerns," one of her relatives who sought anonymity told Pulse Sports.

Halima had been filed as a missing person, and before her return, detectives had been tracking the phone signals at the last location.

She had been last seen at Railways in the Nairobi CBD wearing a blue denim jacket, blue jeans, a black pullover, a floral shirt in blue and white, and a black pair of shoes.

Halima is expected to return to action on Saturday, April 22 when Kangemi Ladies face Zetech Sparks in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League match at GEMS Cambridge School.

Kangemi Ladies are placed at position 11 on the league table with three points from 13 matches played this season.
