After matchday 18, Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa and Rabiu Alli are in the top 10 of the goal scorers in the NPFL.

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa and Kano Pillars legend Rabiu Alli have both made it into the top 10 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The race for the league's Bolden Boot winner heats up and after matchday 18, the goalscoring chart is already shaping up with some famous names registered on the list.

Top 10 goalscorers in the NFPL after matchday 18

Nasarawa United's Anas Yusuf currently leads the pack with 10 goals, but with several other players vying for the top spot, the competition promises to be fierce.

Yusuf, who enjoyed a blistering start to the season, has been a standout performer for Nasarawa United despite the team's struggles.

However, his recent absence due to international duty has allowed other players to close the gap. He was in the CHAN Eagles team that played a goalless draw against Ghana in Accra on Sunday.

Rabiu Ali of Kano Pillars is a close contender with eight goals, the Kano Pillars legend was also in camp with the CHAN Eagles.

The veteran midfielder has been instrumental to Pillars' progress so far, contributing to the Kano-based side's impressive form.

Emmanuel Ogbole of Kwara United, Ibrahim Mustapha of El-Kanemi Warriors, and Ossy Martins of Lobi Stars are also in the mix with seven goals each.

Other notable goal-scorers include Ahmed Musa of Kano Pillars, the Super Eagles captain's second stint in the NPFL has been a blessing to Kano Pillars.

In his debut against Sunshine Stars, he scored twice, followed by a goal and an assist in a thrilling 4-3 victory over Rangers in Enugu.

So far this season, he has been involved in eight goals (5 goals and 3 assists) for the four-time NPFL champions.

Also, Sunday Megwo of Abia Warriors, Joseph Godstime of Niger Tornadoes, Chijioke Alaekwe of Akwa United, Rivio Ayemwenre of Ikorodu City, Adejoh Ajonugwa of Abia Warriors, Sadiq Abubakar Adamu of Plateau United, and Kabir Abdullahi of Rivers United, all with 4 goals apiece.
