Kangemi's bus broke down in Kapsabet, 78 kilometers to Mumboha Grounds.
Kangemi were the first to find the back of the net in the opening minute, courtesy of Daisy Cherop, but Starlets found the equalizer in the eighth minute through Airin Madalina.
Starlets never had to break a sweat as the goals continued to flow before halftime as Madalina registered her second in the 40th minute before adding another goal at the close of the opening stanza.
The Luanda-based side took their foot off the pedal a bit in the opening minutes of the second half for what amounted to little more than a practice game.
