Al-Nassr are reportedly making a move to sign Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk and planning to make him the highest-paid defender in the world.
Van Dijk made his transfer from Southampton to Liverpool in 2018 and has gone on to become one of the greatest defenders in the world.
The centre-back's current contract is £220,000 a week, which ends in the summer, and a contract extension is yet to be discussed.
With one year left on his contract, Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr are considering signing the Liverpool defender.

According to the Spanish publication Marca, Al-Nassr are looking to make Van Dijk the highest-paid defender in the world.
Al-Nassr's general director spoke with Van Dijk's representatives on Tuesday and has already conducted discussions about a transfer this summer.

The Saudi Arabian side presented a contract offer that "would put the Dutchman as the highest-paid defender in the world.

Van Dijk said, “My future is not important at the moment. The only thing I can say now is if I have a farewell I don't think I would keep it dry (and not cry) because that was something I was very surprised with with him (Klopp).

“These fans are something else and eventually when they say goodbye to you then it will be special. Even with Joel, I said, 'How did you manage to keep it dry, pal?'. He just wanted to walk through it quickly and stand with us so I think he did that pretty well.
“At the moment there is nothing for me to say. Nothing has changed and nothing is on the table either. No changes in my situation at all.”
Van Dijk would team up with Aymeric Laporte to defend what would be a strong backline if he agreed to join Al Nassr.
