Albania will host Kenya in an international friendly match in Tirana on April 11

Albania have announced a full-strength squad to face Harambee Starlets in an international friendly later this month.

The Albanians lined up two friendlies against North Macedonia and Kenya, taking place on 7 and 11 March.

The Red and Blacks coach Amir Grima has released a 23 players roster featuring a strong contingent of local players and experienced foreign players.

Grima included most of his superstars, including Armera Tukaj, striker Diellza Istrefaj and central midfielder Valentina Troka.

Quendresa Krasnqi who scored for Albania in their FIFA Women’s World Cup UEFA qualifier against New Zealand, is also part of the squad.

Other players who participated in the World Cup qualifiers have been recalled for the two high-profile friendlies. They include goalkeeper Viona Rexhepi for Kosovo Women’s Football League side KFF Mitrovica and Katerina Simoni, who plays for Tirana.

Albania is ranked at position 72nd globally, whereas Kenya occupies 149th spot according to the last FIFA ranking published on December 9. 

Late last week, Albania Football Federation had indicated that in case Harambee Stars will not be provided with Albanian visas at the right time, then the friendly will be canceled.

Harambee Starlets will meet Albania at the Elbasan Arena, and the match is scheduled to kick off at 5 pm East Africa Time.
