The former Arsenal man has been in inspired form this season and has been an immense contributor to Fulham's fortunes this season. He would have earned Marco Silva's side maximum points but for a late equaliser from Beto.

Key match details

Fulham dominated the first half but chances were few and far between until later in the half, when Adama Traore and Emile Smith Rowe both had efforts saved by Jordan Pickford.

This gave life to the contest and led to a frenetic end to the first 45, with Everton thinking they had the opener when Dominic Calvert-Lewin pounced on a rebound after Idrissa Gueye's long-range effort rattled the crossbar, only for VAR to intervene and rule out the goal for offside.

Neither team managed to capitalise with the game broken up before heading into the dugout for half-time break. Fulham resumed dominance at the start of the second half, and the deadlock was eventually broken on the hour mark.

Smith Rowe embarked on a mazy run, bypassing Everton defenders before finding Alex Iwobi, who carried the ball into the box before slotting a precise low shot into the corner.

Trailing, Sean Dyche shuffled his pack with late substitutions, introducing Orel Mangala and Beto for Abdoulaye Doucoure and Calvert-Lewin.

The swaps paid off greatly in stoppage time as Beto, one of the substitutes, met Ashley Young's cleverly volleyed cross with a decisive header, rescuing a vital point for the hosts.
