Nigerian winger Akinkunmi Amoo is reportedly in some trouble following an alleged sexual assault that could see him appear before a district court in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The 20-year-old plays as a winger for Danish Superliga side FC Copenhagen, but have failed to feature for them since July 2022, after he sustained in their clash with Silkeborg.

Amoo set to appear in court on June 23rd
The former Nigeria under-17 star is being reported to have been involved in a sexual assault that could see him spend some time in jail if found guilty.
In a tweet shared by Nigerian journalist Osasu Obayiuwana, Danish authorities had first brought forward criminal charges against Amoo in April 2022, and then again in July and August 2022.
The youngster was then arrested on September 10, 2022, and before being released on bail on October 7.
Beyond the alleged sexual assault, Amoo is expected to respond to two other unspecified counts.

Amoo currently in Nigeria
As part of his recovery process, the winger is currently in Abuja, Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory, training with the Flying Eagles ahead of the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Amoo's injury was to keep him on the sidelines for nine to ten months, which by estimation could see him back in action in May 2023.
It remains unknown if the Flying Eagles' head coach Ladan Bosso would add the Denmark-based player to his World Cup list, having earlier indicated that he would invite 12 foreign players for the tournament.
