The away side ended up with the ticket to the next phase after a 4-3 aggregate win while Enyimba are left to rue what might have been.

The Nigerian legend, who has since taken over reigns as the new boss at Enyimba following his appointment by the Abia State government, shared a message on his Instagram page.
Kanu posted a message of encouragement on his Instagram stories with pictures of his adorable wife sporting the Enyimba kit.

“Are you ready?” Kanu posted on his story. “White and Blue all the way. Enyimba Enyi, the Peoples Elephant Nsogbu Nsogbu,” he added.
Despite the beautiful pictures and words from the former two-time African Footballer of the Year, Enyimba failed to make their home advantage count in the end.

The Elephants will not be adding to their two CAF Champions League titles this season following the shock exit.
