According to Brilla FM, Daniel Amokachi has been named as a member of the technical crew of new coach Finidi George.

Per the report, he will be the first assistant, a role he previously held under the late Stephen Keshi.

As Pulse Sports previously reported, Finidi wants foreign assistants in his crew, and former NFF president Amaju Pinnick backed this reported desire, stating that it is his right.

The federation has granted this request, as according to the aforementioned Brilla FM, the NFF plans to integrate two foreign assistants into the coaching crew, and their names will be confirmed before the FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures against South Africa and Benin Republic.

In addition to those three assistants, Abideen Baruwa, the goalkeeping coach under erstwhile manager Jose Peseiro, will keep his role.

Meanwhile, Finidi George is relishing the challenge of coaching Nigeria. He understands the intense pressure that comes with the role, and he says he has tough skin and is not afraid of the responsibility.
