This comes after Rashford and teammate Alejandro Garnacho were notably absent from United's squad, which secured a dramatic 2-1 victory against Manchester City in the Manchester derby.

"I don't talk about the future; we talk about the present," Amorim firmly stated via Reuters.

"We are better with Marcus Rashford. This kind of club needs big talents – and he is a big talent," the manager declared.

Amorim also addressed the possibility of Rashford and Garnacho featuring in the upcoming match against Tottenham.

"We have one more training session and they (Rashford and Garnacho) are in the same situation as the other players. If they train well, we have to make a choice," he explained, suggesting that their inclusion depends on their performance in training.

Rashford's commitment and past success at United

Rashford, a product of Manchester United's youth academy, has been with the club since the age of seven.

Since his debut in 2016, Rashford has made 426 senior appearances, scoring an impressive 138 goals. The Englishman has won the Europa League, two FA Cups, and the League Cup twice.
