In addition to Oloko's signing, Rivers Angels have appointed Tosan Bob Blankson as their new head coach.

Bob Blankson previously led Delta Queens to an unbeaten championship title in the 2022/23 season and is expected to bring his winning mentality to Rivers Angels.

The upcoming NWFL season comes with an added incentive as clubs vie for a chance to qualify for the inaugural Women’s World Club Cup in 2026. The winner of this season’s NWFL Premiership will compete in the WAFU-B regional qualifiers and aim for a spot in the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League finals.
