The Italian coach could be set to ditch Real Madrid for another adventure in France's Ligue 1
Davide Ancelotti, son of legendary Real Madrid and ex-AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly a target for Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims, who are actively seeking a new manager following the dismissal of Will Still three weeks before the final game of the season despite the young manager leading the squad to European qualification
Reims hunt for Still replacement
Reims is casting a wide net in their managerial search, considering a range of profiles to find the ideal replacement for Still. According to Foot Mercato, several names have emerged as potential candidates.
Le Havre manager Luka Elsner is reportedly featured on the list, alongside Jose Mourinho’s former assistant, Joao Sacramento, and Davide Ancelotti, the son and assistant of renowned coach Carlo Ancelotti. Joel Magnin from BSC Young Boys, whose contract with the Swiss club is nearing its end, and Miron Muslic from Cercle Brugge, are also reportedly in the running.
Ancelotti’s building managerial dynasty
The younger Ancelotti has been by his father’s side across several clubs since becoming Paris Saint-Germain’s fitness coach at only 23 years old.
Davide looks to be following in his father’s footsteps and has already been assistant manager of prestigious clubs including Napoli, Bayern Munich and currently Real Madrid.
The 34-year-old has already made his managerial debut after leading Napoli in a Serie A match against Roma following Carlo’s suspension and after receiving his UEFA Pro License, he could be open to taking more baby steps in management.
