Real Madrid are set to lose their assistant coach at the end of the season after spending two years with the club.

Davide Ancelotti joined Real Madrid from Everton in 2021 and has since then been the assistant manager to Carlo Ancelotti, but he has come out to say he will be ending his two years stay at the club and will leave at the end of the season.

Carlo Ancelotti’s son who has been on the touchline with his father has won the Champions League and LaLiga with Real Madrid.

The 33-year-old has informed Real Madrid that he intends to quit them in the summer, even if his father stays, according to Diario AS.

Davide accompanied his father to various clubs, and now he is aspiring to establish a career of his own. He joined Carlo at first as a fitness coach and followed his father to Real Madrid twice, Bayern Munich, Napoli, and Everton before joining him at Paris Saint-Germain in 2012.

Regardless of who manages the team next season, Alvaro Arbeloa, who is now excelling with the under-19 squad, may very well be promoted in place of Davide Ancelotti. He has won the admiration of Los Blancos, who thinks he might be a viable long-term candidate for the important position.

Davide might return to Madrid as a coach

Davide was rumoured to take over from his father at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2024 at one point, but those plans now seem to have been scrapped. The players get along well with Ancelotti junior, who is multilingual and esteemed for his tactical prowess.

It wouldn't be shocking to see him return to Santiago Bernabeu in the future if he can successfully combine these qualities with his father's man management.
