A number of the Royals, filled with anguish and frustration, accused Ssenyondo of lining up what they termed a weak team against the Diehards.

Kitara FC's 1-0 defeat to fellow Uganda Premier League newbies NEC FC at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Thursday did not settle well with a section of their faithful.

They felt head coach Brian Ssenyondo did not do well enough to save the team from defeat.

A number of the Royals, filled with anguish and frustration, accused Ssenyondo of lining up what they termed a weak team against the Diehards.

They also felt his substitutions were far from impressive, further laying accusations of "selling" the match.

The likes of Frank 'Zaga' Tumwesigye, Living Kabon, Paul Mucureezi all started from the sidelines which wrecked the Kitara fanbase's emotions.

Meanwhile, NEC forward Cromwell Rwothomio struck the sole goal of the night as they were handed defeat on enemy territory.

Despite defeat to the latter, they still lead proceedings with 44 points, four ahead of runners-up SC Villa, who have played two games fewer.

The Kitara fans felt the result could result into them losing out the championship to their opponents.

Their other rival Vipers SC, sits fifth with 38 points. However, the latter have played three games fewer than Ssenyondo's charges.
