South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns secured a top-two finish in Group B of the CAFCL following a comprehensive 5-2 demolition of Al Ahly of Egypt on Saturday.
Paul Shalulile was the obvious star of the day after he scored a brace while Banfana Banfana star, Percy Tau, was also on the score sheet on his return to South Africa.

Sundowns dominated the encounter and proved to be just too good for their counterpart from Egypt on the day with Paul Shalulile the star of the day at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, Pretoria.

In what was a game that started with a mini-carnival following live performances from local artists at the Stadium, Sundowns didn't waste time to get to business.

But the less lasted just nine minutes before Mohamed Sherif gave Al Ahly fans hope when he equalised for the visitors in the 13th minute.
The goal seemed to awaken the beast in the home side, Sundowns, who went on to dominate the rest of the match in superb fashion.
Goals from Themba Zwane and Teboho Mokoena, who scored a stunning effort, saw Sundowns turn things around to take a two-goal lead heading into the break.
In the second half, it was the visitors who added to the score like first when South Africa International, Percy Tau, pulled back another goal for Ahly to make it 3-2.
However, like in the first half, each Ahly goal seemed to inspire the best from Sundowns as the Brazilians scored another double, this time, Shalulile, with a late brace to steal to show.
Goalkeeper, Williams was not left out of the show for the home side as he kept his side in the game with some incredible saves from a free kick and one long-range shot.
What the result means
Mamelodi Sundowns have secured a place in the next round with a comfortable 10 points at the top of the table in Group B.
Al Ahly will need a miracle this time to make it out of the group after taking just four points from a possible 12.
