Ray Parlour, an Arsenal legend has said that new signing Kai Havertz is a good signing for the Gunners and they are yet to see the best of him.

The Gunners recently signed the Chelsea forward for a fee worth 60 million Euro as they strengthen their squad for next season.

Mikel Arteta’s men missed out on winning the Premier League last season as they stumbled to a bad run towards the end of the season.

The recent recruitment of Havertz has brought some reactions to the fan base but Ray Parlour has said that the best of Havertz has not been seen.

Havertz has a big opportunity says Parlour

Parlour was speaking in an interview about new signing Kai Havertz and said he has a massive opportunity to impress.

During an interview, Ray Parlour said, “Kai Havertz has a massive opportunity. I don’t think we’ve seen the real Havertz over the last couple of seasons, especially after Thomas Tuchel left the club.

“I think he could be a really good signing. You need quality back-up across all positions, and I think he can play in a number of roles for Arsenal.

Signing Havert is a good back-up quality and Arsenal need someone of his experience in the team for next season.

Parlour says Havertz not playing in his best position

Arsenal legend has said that Chelsea have not utilised Havertz in his right position and has played as a number nine most times but could play a deeper role for Arsenal.

Still speaking, Parlour said, “We saw him play as a number nine for Chelsea, but I don’t think that is his best position. I can see him playing deeper than that at Arsenal.

“With the club returning to the Champions League, you need to have that strength in depth.”

The Gunners will be playing in the Champions League next season and will need more legs in the team if they are to challenge on all fronts.
