Arsenal have reportedly started talks with Youri Tielemans for a move in the summer.

Premier League leaders Arsenal have reportedly initiated talks with Youri Tielemans to sign him on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Tielemans remains a contract rebel, and his future is expected to be away from the Midlands club.

The Gunners have been linked with him since last summer, but a deal could not be had. However,  they are said to have begun talks now, but Tieleman's wage demands are reportedly high.

The midfielder has been a top performer since signing from Monaco in 2019 and has been on the radar of several clubs since then.

Tielemans is currently out of action due to an ankle injury he sustained against Arsenal in February, but this has not deterred his suitors, with Barcelona and Newcastle also reportedly in for him.

However, Liverpool, who were previously linked to him, are now said to no longer be interested.

As we reported previously, The Merseyside club have been linked to several midfield targets; however, the list of players in the position that they are interested in has now reportedly been docked one, with the club said to be uninterested in pursuing Leicester City's Youri Tielemans.

Liverpool are said to have refused to go down the route of a potential move for Tielemans despite his free-agent status in the summer.

Football Insider reports that Klopp's recruitment team have found the player 'not mobile enough' after doing scouting and analysis on him.
