Arsenal are set to smash their record transfer after submitting a record bid to West Ham for Declan Rice according to reports.

In recent months, Declan Rice has been the subject of a transfer tussle between Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United.

The English midfielder became Arsenal's number one transfer target towards the end of the 2022/2023 season and faced fierce competition from Man City for his signature.

Arsenal have seen two bids rejected by West Ham for the England International same as Man City who also sent a bid to West Ham which was also rejected.

The Gunners have gone in for the third time and sent a record bid in an attempt to get the deal over the line for Declan Rice.

Arsenal set to break the bank for Rice

Arsenal have reportedly sent a record bid for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice after their first two bids were rejected.

The Gunners' first and second bid worth £70 million plus £10 million in add-ons and £75 million plus £15 million in add-ons respectively was turned down by West Ham earlier this month.

Manchester City also had a bid worth £80 million plus £10 million in add-ons sent to West Ham which was also rejected.

However, according to David Ornstein's report on Twitter, via the Athletic, “Arsenal have tonight submitted a massive offer to West Ham for England midfielder Declan Rice.

“Proposal is for £100m + £5m in add-ons which would be a record for a British player as they try to agree a deal for their top target.”

Arsenal still busy in the transfer market

The Gunners are still trying to get other transfer deals done as Mikel Arteta looks to improve on his side that finished second behind league winner Man City last season.

Arsenal are set to announce the signing of Kai Havertz from Chelsea for a fee worth £60 million plus £5 million in add-ons in the coming days.

They are also close to agreeing on a deal for Ajax defender Jurrien Timber after sending in their second bid a few days ago.

Arteta and Edu are still working on other deals including a deal for Romeo Lavia of Southampton as they look to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
