Arsenal to snub Lookman for Retegui?
According to CalcioMercato, Arsenal sent scouts to watch Atalanta's Mateo Retegui in action in November.
The 25-year-old Italian has been impressive for Atalanta this season, scoring 14 goals in all competitions, including 12 in Serie A.
He will certainly be a more affordable option than his Atalanta teammate Ademola Lookman, who is expected to be in high demand during the summer transfer window.
While Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus have begun to contribute reasonably to Arsenal's attack, the addition of Retegui could further bolster the team's Premier League title bid.
The Gunners are expected to be active in the January transfer window, and Retegui could be the first of many arrivals at the Emirates over the next few months.
