A trip to Anfield to face Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool is one riddled with fear and panic but Arsenal are in the most confident mood and must surely look to this game with relish.
At the bottom of the table, it is one giant battlefield. Leicester City and West Ham are in the ‘too good to go down but just might’ category and Southampton have their work cut out to stay in the Premier League.
Liverpool vs Arsenal
The last time Arsenal visited Anfield, they lost heavily. 4-0 and it could have been more. This is a new Arsenal, brimming with confidence and putting away all foes.

Arsenal have not won at Anfield in over a decade, some of the losses make for tough reading. Two 5-1 defeats, two 4-0 defeats and several losses by a three-goal margin should ideally make Liverpool favourites.
There is no better stadium or occasion for Mikel Arteta’s men to really show the world how far they have come under the Spaniard’s tutelage.
Liverpool on the other hand, need to win. Not just because they’re at home and need to protect their pride but because the chances of playing Champions League football next season are slowly slipping away.

Klopp needs to galvanize his troops and remind them of exactly who they are.
No matter how tough the going gets, Anfield remains one of the toughest grounds for any away team to visit, just ask Manchester United.
Relegation battle heats up
There is no easy way to say this but time is running out for Southampton. As they proved in the League Cup victory over Manchester City in January, they can mix and match with the big boys but positive results have been few and far between.
The Saints need to string a run of results together to stay in this division.
Manchester City are on the heels of leaders Arsenal and Mikel Arteta’s men will be unforgiving opponents, with or without the fit-again Erling Haaland.
Leicester City, Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and West Ham are all in danger of being completely buried in the relegation fight.
Things are in abysmal shape for West Ham and Leicester particularly as both sides cannot put together consistent results at the moment.

The Hammers lost 5-1 to Newcastle at home in midweek and one more defeat might signal the end for David Moyes.
