Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger remains confident that the Gunners will win the Premier League in the 2023/24 campaign.
Arsenal legend believes Gunners will win 2023/24 season
Wenger was manager of Arsenal for 22 years, helping the Gunners to three Premier League titles in a storied career with the London giants.
The French former manager had to watch on last season as Arsenal capitulated at the tail end of the season to throw away the lead in the race for the Premier League title, but believes that the Gunners will learn from their mistakes in the coming campaign.
Wenger was speaking to Eurosport during the Tour de France, in the Alps when he declared that his beloved Gunners will emerge champions next season, saying, “I believe we will win the championship, it is as simple as that. I have less doubts for Arsenal than the cycling today.”
Arsenal make giant strides towards EPL title
Arsenal have made great strides in making Wenger’s dream come true ahead of the 2023/24 season, making key additions to the squad in the summer transfer market as they look to go a step further than last season.
The Gunners celebrated the signing of English midfielder Declan Rice, who joined from West Ham in a club-record £105 million deal that many believe will help Arsenal move up a level, perhaps enough to claim a first Premier League title since Wenger last won one in 2004.
They have also signed Dutch defender Jurien Timber from Ajax as well as German star Kai Havertz from London rivals Chelsea.
Wenger believes that these signings as well as the learnings from the 2022/23 season will be enough to dislodge Manchester City from their perch at the top of English football and time will tell if he is right.
