Pius Bamwange joined Arua Hill in January this year after from maroons. He has also worked with Onduparaka.

Arua Hill Sports Club chief executive officer Pius Bamwange has resigned from his role at the club.

Bamwange resigns when the club is battling a verdict by FUFA to relegate them from the Uganda Premier League after failing to comply with several licensing requirements.

A source at the club revealed that the CEO resigned on Wednesday night hours after the club received the FUFA verdict.

“The CEO has tendered his resignation to the club president,” the source, who preferred anonymity, revealed to Pulse Sport.

Both Bamwange and the club could not pick up our numerous calls to confirm the developments by press time.

This website understands that a section of the club hierarchy was not impressed with the CEO's work during the preseason, which includes licensing.

The situation escalated to the extent that coach Livingstone Mbabazi and some other officials were forced to intervene to register players.

Among the shortfalls FUFA noted in the licensing was that the club failed to provide proof from the bank showing that the CEO is a principal signatory to their account.

The club is planning to replace him with former Onduparaka and Blacks Power CEO Edison Saba Saba Shaba
