Arua Hill CEO Pius Bamwange has denied selling their budding prospect, Innocent Media, to Italian club Lucera Calcio.

Speaking to Pulse Uganda Sports, Bamwange asserted that he needs to be made aware of the lower-division Italian Club.

"We are not aware of that Italian Club. We also see it on social media," Bamwange told this website.

"Media is an Arua Hill Sports Club player on a two-year contract. We have not sold Media anywhere", he added.

Media is reportedly set to leave the country this Saturday, and this is after Lucera Calcio confirmed on their social media pages that the transfer is imminent.

Bamwange denied knowledge of the development stressing that he is still their player.

"For us, we're not aware. If he's moving out, it is another arrangement. He is still ours. We have not sold him anywhere. We are not concerned," he confirmed.

Arua Hill has since made an official statement on their social media pages distancing themselves from the alleged transfer.

"Disregard the information from the Italian side Lucera Calcio stating that they are on the verge of signing Innocent Media."

"Media is under two years contract with us; any club that wants to buy him will have to do a professional transfer procedure where the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) and the parent club of the player will be involved to make it amicable," part of the statement reads.

"At this point, no "Bosman ruling" is involved concerning the player," Arua Hill added.

Bosman ruling means players can move to a new club at the end of their contract without their old Club receiving a fee
