“When a team reaches the Quarterfinals, each goal scored will be bought at Tzsh 5m (UGX7m), as for the semis, each goal will be bought at Tzsh 10m (UGX14m) while for the finals, Tzsh 20m (UGX29m) will be paid per goal scored,” said Msigwa.
Khalid Aucho and Gift Fred’s Young Africans made over Ugx 146m when they reached their maiden CAF Confederation Cup final, eventually losing out on the away goals rule to Algeria’s USM Alger.

Young Africans and Simba are in the CAF Champions League, with ‘Tiimu ya Wanainchi’ having eliminated Djibouti ASAS in the first preliminary round to meet Sudan’s Al Merrikh in the second preliminary round.
Msimbazi, on the other hand, got a bye and will face Power Dynamos in the second preliminary round.
For the CAF Confederation Cup, Azam FC was eliminated by Ethiopia’s Bahir Dar Kenema, while Singida Fountain Gate eliminated JKU SC to advance to the second preliminary round.
