"Young Africans management would like to inform the public that the club has parted ways with coach Nasreddine Nabi who opted not to extend his contract at the club as he wanted to seek a new challenge," part of the statement read.
"The club would like to thank coach Nabi for the contribution during his spell with us, and we would like to wish him all the best in his journey," the statement added.
Uganda Cranes assistant captain Khalid Aucho was also on hand to appreciate the 58-year-old, who he likened to a father figure, a great friend and a brother for the time he has worked with him at the club.
"You have been a great father, great brother and great friend, and you have also been the best coach, good luck to you and your new club. Thanks for the memories, Coach Nabi Nasreddine," Aucho tweeted.
Nabi's reign at Tiimu ya Wanainchi has been filled with success, leading the side to back-to-back league doubles and two community shield trophies.
He most notably guided them to their maiden CAF Confederation Cup final, where they lost to USM Alger on the away goals rule.
The search for his successor is already on; however, for the soft-spoken tactician, the rife reports linking him to South African giants Kaizer Chiefs are what can't be ignored.
