It should be recalled that Aucho had last featured in competitive action on March 1, as Young Africans lost 1-0 to Al Ahly in the group stages of the CAF Champions League.
After 42 days on the sidelines, Uganda Cranes deputy skipper Khalid Aucho made his hugely anticipated return from injury to help Young Africans SC past Dodoma Jiji in the Tanzanian Federation Cup.
Aucho came on in the second half as Young Africans comfortably beat Dodoma 2-0 at the Jamhuri, Dodoma Stadium on Wednesday.
An own-goal from Augustino Nsata and one from Clement Mzize were enough to guide the CAF Champions League quarterfinalists to victory.
Aucho's compatriot and Uganda Cranes teammate Gift Fred started and played 90 minutes in the win in Dodoma.
