The newly crowned league champions and Stanbic Uganda Cup winners have tasked their players to report for the new season as early as June 26, a reliable source has intimated to this website.
The Uganda Cup and StarTimes Uganda Premier League winners will represent Uganda in the CAF Champions League.
Vipers made their maiden CAF Champions League group stage appearance last season after successfully eliminating Central African Republic giant Olympique Real de Bangui and Democratic Republic of Congo champions TP Mazembe in the preliminary qualification rounds.
The Venoms were humbled by continental giants; Horoya AC, Raja Casablanca, and Tanzania giants Simba SC as they salvaged only one point and a goal.
Meanwhile, the StarTimes Uganda Premier League kick-off has been set for September 5, giving the Venoms two months to prepare.
