The game started with the Gunners dominating most of the possession in the first 20 minutes but could not carve out a chance.
Both teams kept on pushing to get the first goal of the game but could not find an opening until the halftime whistle was blown.

The second half started and Atalanta got into attacking mode and were rewarded with a penalty after Thomas Partey’s clumsy challenge on Ederson.
David Raya did well to stay patient and wait for Mateo Retegui before diving to his left and making a save. He then went on to save the rebound with a swift dive.
