The former Bandari CEO passed away while undergoing treatment at a Mombasa hospital.
Bandari FC are in mourning following the death of their former Chief Executive Officer Hajj Masemo, who passed away on Monday while undergoing treatment at Pandya Hospital in Mombasa.
Masemo, who also served as the Principal Communications Officer at the Kenya Ports Authority, had been going through some medical complications before he breathed his last on New Years’ day.
"It is with deep sorrow that Bandari FC announces the passing of our former CEO, Hajj Masemo. Hajj breathed his last this afternoon (January 1) at Pandya Hospital in Mombasa, where he had been undergoing treatment for medical complications," Bandari said in a statement.

"Hajj Masemo, who also served as the Principal Communications Officer at the Kenya Ports Authority, had been a dedicated figure in the football community.
“His contributions to Bandari FC and the broader sports landscape have left an indelible mark."
The statement added: "Masemo's body will be transported to Msambweni, Kidzumbani, village, where his final resting place will be.
