Baraza confident Bandari are capable of displacing Gor Mahia to top spot after beating them on Saturday.
Bandari head coach John Baraza is confident Bandari can sail to the top of the league table after beating Gor Mahia to reduce the gap between both clubs to just seven points.
Gor were leading comfortably by 10 points, but losing in Mombasa means they have narrowed their lead on top to just seven points after 24 games, and there is plenty to look forward to over the remaining last 10 games of the season.
A Fidel Origa goal was enough to give the Dockers all the three points, and they now sit second on 43 points.

FKFPL McKinstry issues postmortem of Gor Mahia's defeat to Bandari
Gor Mahia's title aspirations took a hit with a narrow 1-0 defeat to Bandari as coach McKinstry cites misfortune and missed opportunities.
“It was a tight game. Remember we played against the defending champions and so far, they are the ones leading the league,” Baraza said.
“We have played a top team in the country and I believe collecting something is a big plus for us because we have narrowed down the gap.”
Bandari has revealed that anyone can win the title if they get their things together and fight hard, something he will challenge his troops to try and achieve.
“We can catch up, so the league is still open and for us, it is all about fighting hard.”

STARS ABROAD Marcelo oozes creativity in Rakow's ill-tempered clash with Puszcza
The Harambee Stars left back created numerous chances from the left flank which were not capitalised on during their 1-1 draw with Puszcza that saw both sides reduced to 10 men.
As the season progresses, Baraza plans to motivate and challenge his players to give their best, aiming to close the remaining gap and compete for the league title.
Meanwhile, Bandari’s game against Gor was the last one at Mbaraki this season, as it is planned to undergo a six-month renovation program from Monday, March 11.
According to Bandari FC Vice Chairman Twaha Mbarak, the team will continue to host their home matches in the Coast, and not at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos as earlier reported.
