The defender is on the road to recovery following an successful operation.
Football Kenya Federation Premier League side Bandari FC on Friday provided an update on the recovery process of injured defender Boniface Mwangemi who underwent surgery on a knee problem.
The 20-year-old defender had been a notable absentee from the docker's lineups during games in most parts of the season due to a recurring knee injury that has hindered his progress at the Mombasa-based side.
And after a prolonged period of treatment, the player has made progress on his way to recovery after undergoing surgery a week ago.
Mwangemi became the second Bandari player to undergo knee surgery this season after midfielder Mohamed Mbarak Abeid alias Mudiga was diagnosed with the same problem and was operated on earlier this year.
Mwangemi joined Bandari in September 2021 from Kariobangi Sharks but has played few minutes this season due to stiff competition time and the injury.

It seems Bandari might not have to wait for too long before the attacking midfielder returns to action.
He had been signed as the second left-back after Siraj Mohamed, which then meant that Hassan Idd would switch to center back position.
The Dagoretti High School graduate was signed by Kariobangi Sharks after impressing at the 2019 National Schools' games, where he was voted as the Most Valuable Player.
