Alukwu's transfer highlights the increasing talent pool in Nigerian football and the growing ambition of young players seeking opportunities in European leagues.

Sporting Lagos make history in Sweden

Meanwhile, Pulse Sports earlier reported that Sporting Lagos Academy dominated the B17E championship final of the Gothia Cup, making history as the first Nigerian club to win a trophy in the tournament.

The Lagos-based team made an immediate impact, quickly becoming a leading contender in the competition after defeating Japanese Club, Tokyo FC 4-0 in the final.

Sporting Lagos is on the path of producing another Alukwu as Babatunde Akomolede, was awarded the Most Valuable Player award of the tournament for his outstanding performance.
