Key match details
The match outcome fulfilled the early indication of the proceedings, as Barcelona had a high-octane start. They had to wait until the 20th minute, however, before finding their first goal in the game. Pau Cubarsi released a pinpoint ball into space, and the energetic Raphinha ran into it before finishing cleanly past Karl Hein.
They got the second almost immediately after the first, specifically four minutes later. Just like the first, it came from an inch-perfect pass. Lamine Yamal played a beautiful lob to Robert Lewandowski, who collected it onto his path before finishing through Hein. They put the game away from Valladolid's reach just before half-time when Jules Kounde riffled the ball home from a corner kick.
Despite the healthy first half lead, Barcelona did not let up in the second 45. The scoreline became 4-0 around the hour mark when Raphinha tapped home from close range.
In the 72nd minute, the Brazilian got his hat-trick when Yamal threaded the ball through to him. He took the ball in his stride before calmly finishing through Hein’s legs. Dani Olmo finally got his goal in the 82nd minute, and substitute Ferran Torres made it seven after poking home a Raphinha assist.
The win helped Barcelona strengthen their hold at the top of the log for points and soared to the top of the goal-scored standings.
